Traffic rules motorcycle

Trailer

  • With a motor you may tow a trailer of up to 1.25 m which is not heavily laden than half the weight of the motorcycle.

Helmet

  • Wearing a helmet is mandatory.

Passengers

  • It is allowed to carry a passenger on the motorcycle.

Lighting

  • Dipped beams or daytime running lights (including LED) daytime is mandatory.

Maximum Speed

  • Maximum speed motor with trailer
    Within urban areas; 50 km / h.
    Outside urban areas; 70 km / h.
    Expressroads and highways; 80 km / h.
  • Maximum speed motorcycle without trailer
    Within urban areas; 50 km / h.
    Outside urban areas; 70 km / h.
    Expressroads and higways; 120 km / h.

Traffic rules moped

In Sweden, a moped is called a moped klass I and a light moped a moped class II.
Mopeds class I may not be faster than 45 km / h and regarding the traffic rules are not considered bicycles.
Mopeds class II may not be faster than 25 km / h and regarding the traffic rules considered bicycles, unless signs indicate otherwise.
Mopeds built before June 17, 2003 are considered a moped class II, but this can 30 km / h.
 

Trailer

  • No trailer to a moped may be linked.

Bicycle path

  • Mopeds class I may not ride on the bike path
  • Mopeds Class II must ride on the bike path, unless signs indicate otherwise.

Helmet

  • Wearing a helmet is mandatory for all types of mopeds.

Passengers

  • Carrying of the passenger is allowed.
  • On a moped class II a child younger than 10 years should be included only when the driver is at least 15 years.
  • You can transport two children younger than 6 years if the driver is at least 18 years.

Lighting

  • Dipped beams during daytime is mandatory
